Licensed Clinical Psychologist

About the Practice

Angela Bisignano, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice, serving the Palos Verdes Peninsula and south bay beach cities. According to the American Psychological Association the science of psychology is the study of the human mind and its functions. In Dr. Bisignano’s practice she examines the relationships between brain function, emotions, and behavior with the intention of promoting change, health, and optimal wellbeing in her clients.

Our brain, our mind – is the conduit in which we experience our lives. It is so vital and precious to our existence that without it no other system in the body can survive. Our brains are continuously making new connections and being rewired with neural circuitry that often surpasses our understanding. The beauty and intricacy of our mind often leaves us baffled by the myriad of complexities and the mystery of it.

Dr. Bisignano takes a comprehensive – biopsychosocial approach in her practice, assessment and treatment; involving the biological, psychological, social, as well as the spiritual dimensions of individuals. She believes each domain is interconnected; when we are out of balance in one area it potentially affects all the other domains.

Our mental health and wellbeing is vital to a fulfilling and meaningful life. When our mental health is compromised, stressed or we are suffering, almost every other area of our wellbeing is affected, including our physical bodies, relationships and spiritual nature. Dr. Bisignano believes anyone can live a meaningful and fulfilling life if they choose to. Sometimes it involves a compassionate person coming alongside to help guide you in the process.
